« Gin » comes from the Latin “Juniperus”, meaning juniper berry. These edible berries come from the juniper, a prickly shrub 4 to 15 meters tall and they are the main ingredient of the gin, being what gives it that special taste. Dozens or even hundreds of other ingredients can be added to the gin that can create unique gins, if chosen carefully. Gin is most usually made from a neutral grain alcohol that contains more than 85% of alcohol (mix of cereals like corn, barley and rye) or from molasses. High quality gins are made through distillation. To do so, 45% diluted neutral alcohol is poured in a still and is brought to the boil. The alcohol is fused with the berries aromas and spices when rising in the column of the still. The first alcohols to evaporate are called the “heads”, then come the “heart” (or “spirit”) and at last, the “tails”. It is up to the distiller’s technique to select the best part of the obtained distillate. The heads and the tails of distillation, less pure, are recycled and distilled again, while the heart is diluted, filtered and bottled. Only the heart is used to produce high quality gin, up to 80-85%, to which the gin degree is lowered to obtain a 37.5% alcohol at least (EU regulations) by adding pure demineralised water. The gin obtained this way is ready for use and bottling. Even if distillation is a traditional method that improved throughout the years, the numerous laws regulating it discourage anyone who would like to start their own distillery. Many brands delegate the production to master distillers to focus on selling the product. The distillation process is important for the Distillerie Fortemps de Loneux as we distil ourselves our own products to guarantee a flawless quality to our clients. Moreover, each distillation is unique, and so are all of our bottles.

Personalized Labels & Greeting Cards: There is no minimum order. However, please note that there is a fixed fee for the label design and printing, so the larger the order, the lower the price per bottle. Bottle Engraving: No minimum order; available starting from just one bottle! Custom Gin Recipe: A minimum order of around 200 bottles (500 ml) is required to protect the quality of our still. If you'd like to create just one bottle of your own recipe, you can register for our Gin School workshop or offer it as a gift. Contact us to discuss your project.

Personalized Labels & Greeting Cards: Once you submit the quote on our personalization page, we will get back to you within 1-4 business days. Based on urgency, we can expedite the process, but the minimum delivery time is around 2-3 weeks to finalize the design, print, and process the order. Bottle Engraving: This depends on the availability of our engraver. It usually takes 2-3 weeks for smaller orders. For larger orders, contact us to schedule it properly and ensure we deliver as quickly as possible. Custom Gin Recipe: This takes longer as we need to develop an entirely new recipe tailored to your taste. The minimum delivery time is around 3 months to produce the final product. Entre Nous Gin was born from a deep passion for craft spirits and the art of distillation. After several years in finance, our founder, Inès Fortemps de Loneux, decided to pursue her dream of creating a gin that embodies both quality and authenticity. Following extensive research and an 18-month legal process to obtain the necessary authorizations, Distillerie Fortemps de Loneux officially launched in Luxembourg in 2022, with Entre Nous Gin as its flagship brand. Our journey began with the release of our first small-batch, limited-edition gin: Entre Nous Summer 2023, a lavender-distilled creation. This was followed by our Winter Edition, featuring pine needles, chili peppers, and cinnamon, and then Spring 2024, a bright and fresh blend of kiwi, mandarin peel, and elderflower. In September 2024, we introduced our Original Recipe, distilled with elderflower, lavender, ginger, and rosemary. What makes this gin truly special is its collaborative creation—more than 140 gin lovers in Luxembourg took part in the process, from selecting the botanicals to blind-tasting samples and even voting on the final label design.
